In a lot of ways, it is difficult to know exactly where to begin. Sure, it’s my story and I can tell it how I want. But honestly, there’s a lot to unpack.

It only seems logical to devote an entire website to this endeavor.

Generally speaking, this project is all about the process of deconstruction. What is “deconstruction?” you ask. Simply put, it’s the process that believers go through to re-examine beliefs. It’s a period of questioning, study, reflection, and being very honest with one’s self about how you got to where you are today.

For some, deconstruction can lead to a strengthening of faith. Others find parts of their previously held beliefs to be something to hold onto, while discarding other beliefs.

My deconstruction story started with three questions:

If you are questioning your faith, it is my hope that you ask yourself the same three questions. You don’t have to be on a mission of deconstruction to benefit. However, all you have to do is be really honest with yourself.

Ultimately, my journey led me all the way to deconversion. I no longer believe in any religion, nor do I believe any gods exist.

But I am getting ahead of myself a little bit. In time I will go deeper into my deconstruction process, how it started in my Gen X childhood and how faith really fell apart as I looked at the evidence from an adult perspective. I will share how my deconstruction turned into deconversion, and what that result means to me now.

Thank you for reading. Let’s get started.
