Today, July 15, 2025, is a big day for me. It’s the one-year anniversary of my deconversion from all religion — but Christianity specifically.

The year since I announced to friends and family that I was walking away from 40 years of belief has been quite a ride. When my belief left me, I realized pretty early it would come with some consequences (as all actions do), but the one thing I didn’t count on was being compelled to write about religious issues—or finding communities online of others like me.

My process of deconstructing, and eventually deconverting, was done pretty much in isolation, aside from content in various forms that helped me through. However, some of the more helpful resources I came across during that time were the stories of people who once believed like me, but also left religion behind.

Back in my ‘ol college days, I first thought I wanted to be in radio, but really, I just wanted to have music in my life all the time. Thanks to modern tech, anyone can now get in a similar game with a podcast. Since I like hearing other people tell their stories as they traverse this life, it seemed like a good time to do something like this.

Today I announce the Ask More Questions podcast, where I’ll chat with others about religious deconstruction, skepticism, critical thinking, life after religion, or anything else that requires a deep dive and a reason to, ahem, Ask More Questions.

Kicking Things Off

The goal is to publish twice a week, but today I’m kicking off with two episodes:

Be A Guest

If you’re interested in being a guest, fill out the form on the Podcast page, and I’ll reach out about scheduling a time to record. I would love to have a fun conversation about how you asked enough questions to challenge previously held convictions—and to know how that’s working for you now.

Thank you for listening. Keep asking questions!
